Born in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.  Bill relocated to St. Petersburg in 1976, and has lived and worked in the area everr since then.  A graphic artist Bill has influenced at an early age by his fatherr William Correira a well known scrimshaw artist whose work was recognized throughout Hawaii, Nantucket and Maine.  Under the guidance of his father Bill developed his technique and was encouraged to exhibit his work.

Bill creates his pieces using mixed medium on granite and marble.  His focus remains on figure studies and marine life that is indigenous to the area.  It is on the face of the stone that Bill is able to join the natural beauty of the subject with the given nature of the stone to create a work of art that reflects both its strenght and vulnerability.  Each piece is unique with no two pieces alike.

Bill has been an ardent supporter of environmental causes in the area by donating many pieces of his art to assist in fundraising efforts.  His work is held in numerous private collections.
